Free Trial Workouts!
Here’s how it works…
Every Saturday at 10:30am we offer a free trial workout to anyone interested in CrossFit. All fitness levels are welcome because we scale the workout to each person’s current physical ability. The Saturday classes are generally 3-10 people and most of them have never done a CrossFit workout before. If you want to attend, just send Sara an email at sara@crossfitodyssey.com or give her a call at 757-816-1461 to let her know you’re planning on coming. You can ask any questions you may have at this point.
Show up here at the gym around 10:15 – 10:25 so that you can watch some of our members finishing up their morning workouts. Click here for our class schedules. One of the trainers will be there to greet you and have you sign a waiver stating that you are in good health. When we feel like we have everyone who was planning on showing up, we will talk briefly about CrossFit (<5 minutes) and then get you moving with a 10 minute warm up. Once everyone has finished warming up, we will discuss the workout of the day (W.O.D.). We will demonstrate the movements required for the workout and then give you some monitored practice time.
Once everyone is comfortable with the movements, the entire group will start the workout together with a “3-2-1- Go!” We will keep your time, but you count your own repetitions for the exercises. When you are finished yell “time!” and we will record it for you.
